Downtown Three Lakes, Inc. grew from the Forward Three Lakes initiative sponsored by the Three Lakes Community Foundation. We officially incorporated in Wisconsin in April of 2021 and were awarded 501(c)3 status in 2025.  Our mission is to develop a growing and caring community with a vibrant downtown that promotes a high quality of life for residents and visitors alike. 

Values:

• We value a vibrant downtown that attracts visitors and supports businesses

• We value a spirit of hospitality towards all residents, seasonal and full time alike

• We value a downtown that encourages pedestrian exploration

• We value outdoor gathering places and green spaces where all are welcome to rest and play

What have we done:

• Created the Gathering Place in an empty lot

• Installed wayfinding signs for pedestrians

• Connected current and new business owners to resources

• Held informational meetings for current business owners

• Digitally restored the Skip Wagner Mural on side of Black Forest

• Commissioned a local artist to create a new mural that now hangs on the side of the Hollow Tree Hospitality Building.

• Brought a brand new event to downtown- the Summer Solstice Night Market. 

What we're doing:

• Working with local business owners to bring new events downtown throughout the year. 

• Working to fill vacancies in downtown storefronts and attract new business.

• Spearheading the new Sponsor a Basket campaign to keep flowers downtown after a municipal budget cut. 

• Working to create a Business Improvement District, so Downtown can fund its own revitalization.

We will continue to work toward meeting each of these values in the hopes that Three Lakes will always have a warm, and thriving downtown.  Thank you for your support as we work together for our community.
